Freedom is nearing maximum capacity with its current land base of 320
acres. In order to save more horses, we need more land.
Return To Freedom recognizes wild free ranging horses as a valuable part
of the ecosystem. By protecting these free-ranging, sentient animals we
also protect and preserve the open spaces in which they flourish. For
the past five years Return To Freedom has developed a management plan
and is now ready to provide sanctuary for over a thousand horses in the
first conservancy of it's kind.
The Wild Horse Land Trust has been developed to assure that funds and
donations are earmarked exclusively for this expansion effort. Our expansion
will include a permanent National Conservancy where bonded herds can live
safely and undisturbed for generations to come. The additional land base
will also allow for an Equid Educational Center.
With new mandates from the Bureau of Land Management to remove approximately
26,000 wild horses from public lands by 2005, we urgently need your support.
Here’s How You Can Help
Support our `”Sponsor an Acre” campaign. A donation of $750
will provide fencing and other required maintenance for 1 acre of these
horses’ new home.
Donors will have their name added to our "Sponsor an Acre"
plaque that will be mounted as a permanent monument at the land trust.
This donation makes a meaningful gift for birthdays, anniversaries, or
for any horse lover-on any occasion. And your donation is tax deductible.
