Callisto's Herd

Callisto's Herd

Callisto is a stout and formidable bay stallion. Callisto and his herd were captured on horseback in the Badger Mountain area of The Sheldon National Fish & Wildlife Refuge in 2000. Prior to this area becoming part of the Fish and Wildlife Refuge system, it was comprised of ranches where European horse breeds ( mainly Thoroughbreds & Standardbreds) were raised for working stock and remounts for the U.S. Cavalry.
