Our Horses
Mystic's Herd
Mystic came to us from Hart Mountain, OR with three other bachelor stallions in 1999. As luck would have it, nine mares also arrived at the ranch at about the same time and everyone was soon was introduced.
Herds are established when mares choose their stallions. And just to prove what a looker Mystic really is—all nine of the mares chose him! Now Mystic lives happily at The American Wild Horse Sanctuary with his nine new wives.
As for the other three stallions that arrived with him, Maverick has become a socialized horse. The other two stallions, Roanie and Narcozi roam the hills challenging Mystic and other herd stallions from time to time.
